Introduction to N-Tech

What is N-Tech?

N-Tech was organized to meet the educational and socialization needs of a group of Christian home schooling families located in North Texas. We currently meet  ten consecutive Mondays each fall and spring to share educational experiences in a formal classroom setting.   Our parents are our teachers. These talented parent/teachers are well-educated and enthusiastic  about teaching homeschooled students  their passion.

We offer classes in physical education, foreign languages, a variety of science subjects, math, writing, art, ceramics and much more.

Because our parents stay on-site during co-op hours to work at N-Tech as teachers and assistants, the cost of N-Tech classes is extremely low.  For instance, our family normally pays a bill of $100 each semester for our two boys to receive 50 hours of fun and education.  You can not find a better value for your money anywhere, and we still maintain the freedom to study what we want on non-co-op days.

Attending N-Tech is a lot of fun for the entire family, but it is also a lot of work for the parents, not unlike home schooling in general.  As an N-Tech family, you are expected to stay after classes end each Monday to help clean the host Church's building.  We have committed to return our host Church to an orderly manner every time we meet.  If you teach two classes, then you are exempt from weekly clean-up.

Even if you are staying after to clean, even if you are teaching at some time during the day, you still must stay on-site during co-op hours to assist in classes during the entire time that your children are enrolled in N-Tech classes.

We are all proud of our program, and more importantly, we are proud of our families.  Home schooling families are often prone to want to try things their own way.  N-Tech is a wonderful testimony to what the Lord can do with families who are willing to come together, share their resources and allow their children to learn from other adults in a safe, monitored, Christian environment.

N-Tech follows strict rules regarding adult supervision, regarding Christian doctrine, regarding disciplining one another's children in a loving but firm manner.  If you want to hear the details of how we are organized, go to the downloads page.  It contains a variety of forms that provide additional insight into our group.  You will also find the necessary forms to submit an application on the download page..
